FISH THE GREAT SALMON RIVER!
.Malone, New York will host the 4th Annual Hendrickson Hatch Fly Fishing Tournament. Anglers are invited to come to town May 31 and June 1 2008 to fish one of the North Country's most productive streams, the Great Salmon River. Flowing north through Franklin County, the Salmon River drains the foothills of the Adirondacks and winds its way through the town and village of Malone before dumping into the St. Lawrence River. Says local guide and committee member, John Miletich, "This is just a fantastic river. What's more, we've timed the tournament to coincide with one of the best hatches. If weather and conditions are right, we'll have some good action. Strong hatches. Lot's of browns, rainbows, and brook trout. Some good sized fish, too."
