~ Hendrickson Hatch Catch &
Release Fly Fishing Tournament 2016 ~
FISH THE GREAT SALMON RIVER!
Dear Hendrickson Hatch Anglers - Good news about the Hendrickson Hatch tournament. Members of Malone Revitalization Foundation have agreed to hold the Hendrickson Hatch tournament as a bi-annual event. There will be no tournament for 2015, but starting 2016 we will hold the tournament the first weekend of June on even years. Get your 2016 calendar out and fill it in now! We hope to offer a great fishing experience when we revive the event in 2016.
On another note - The C&R section of the Salmon River is open for business. MRF has teamed up with Tri-Lakes chapter of Trout Unlimited to provide a three year stocking plan for the C&R section. We will be spending $2000 each year for the next three years to purchase 2 and 3 year old trout for the C&R section. TU will also be stocking fingerling brook trout in the fall in hopes of establishing a wild population of brookies in the C&R section. It may take a few years, but our goal is to provide a first rate section of water that will reward anglers with both a lot of trout and large trout.
