FISH THE GREAT SALMON RIVER!
2015 Hendrickson Tournament Update - I write this message with difficulty, but I believe the Hendrickson Hatch tournament will not run for 2015. As many who have participated in the past are aware, I have four rather young and very busy children. I really need to focus my free time on them. I have enjoyed being chairman of the Hendrickson Hatch committee for the past 10 years, but must focus my attention on other matters. I did search for somebody to run the event, but have not had much luck. John Keeler, our cook for the past 10 years, is also in the same situation. His feeling are similar to mine.
The Hendrickson Hatch tournament is a special event that took many years to build into what it became. Many great friendships were formed around this tournament and I hope those anglers continue to keep in touch. I have met some great people because of the tournament and, come early June, I am sure I will feel a void in my heart. I also invite anybody looking for fishing information to give me a call or email. Quick reminder, the C&R section on the Salmon River opens on April 1. Had it not been for the HH tournament we would not have the C&R section. Thanks to all who have participated over the past decade - It was a great "hatch". Best of luck and happy fishing! John
