Salmon river Weather

Results – 2007

During the weekend of May 19th and 20th the Malone Revitalization Foundation hosted the third annual Hendrickson Hatch Fly Fishing Tournament.  The weather was spectacular for the entire weekend and, even though the fishing was a little slow, anglers commented and what a great time they were having fishing the Salmon River.  There were 42 participants in this year’s event, traveling from areas including Albany, Syracuse, Boston, and many northern New York towns including Watertown, Potsdam, Massena, Malone, St. Regis Falls, and Chateaugay. Thanks to great support from event sponsors, every participant received an award or door prize.  The committee would like to offer a special thanks to Damon Rods and Brookfield Power for their generous support of this year’s event.  Below is a list of the top ten finishers in the third annual Hendrickson Hatch Fly-Fishing Tournament.

RESULTS 2006

2006 has been a difficult year for fly-fishing in the northeastern United States.  Heavy rains have caused many rivers to become very high and dangerous.  These conditions required that the 2006 Hendrickson Hatch Fly Fishing Tournament be postponed from May 20&21 to June 3&4.  The original event saw over 50 participants show up for registration.  All were understanding of the circumstance and supportive of the decision to postpone.  In the end we had 26 anglers register on June 3&4.  Participants came from many areas including Albany, Syracuse, Burlington, VT and many northern New York towns including Potsdam, Massena, Colton, Malone, St. Regis Falls, and Chateaugay. The river fished well, especially Saturday, and every participant received an award or door prize.  The committee would like to offer a special thanks to Brookfield Power and Damon Rods for their generous support of this year’s event.  Below is a list of the top ten finishers in the Second Annual Hendrickson Hatch Fly-Fishing Tournament.
